You'll pay a premium for it now, as it was originally either a promotional give-away, or priced around $6. It is a very small model, so small that a minifigure cannot fit inside it.
It is very easy to build and stays together well. The buckets move and the arm of the rear bucket is articulated and can flex.
We got ours through a Lego Club meeting in 2011, so maybe they had some leftover at the store - if you have a Lego store near you, maybe call to ask if they still sell them.
Overall a nice set, but shop around to find a good price. There are larger, more involved backhoes available if you're really looking to expand your collection to include construction items, such as LEGO Technic Backhoe Loader 8069. This model is good for making small city scenes vs. a "real" working model.
