WordWorld Bucket Set - House Review

WordWorld is a great program. I can see how it has had a fairly immediate impact on my son's word comprehension. This toy set, however, does not live up to the same standards as the program. For starters, there are only 18 letter blocks (okay, you get the full alphabet IF you use both sides...). At a minimum, there should be 26 letter blocks, and more if you expect children to model the show and build words. Beyond that, there is fairly limited playability. The "House" portion is pretty much a set-piece to which you can attach a few blocks. The legs that hold up the House platform are fairly flimsy -- but that's the fault of Mega Blocks. Would have worked much better as a Lego product. On the whole, lots of fluff and not much substance. Also, I believe this set was discontinued sometime in 2009; one nearby big box retailer dumped all their sets on the bargain shelf for one to two Hamiltons.
