(More customer reviews)400 pieces sounded great, however K'nex has drastically shrunk the size of 75% of the pieces from the last time I bought this toy. The 400 piece set does not even fill the lid. The miniaturized version of the original toy is nice, and intricate, however, much of the wow factor is lost. Additionally, the small pieces don't work with the large pieces, which further limits the play value. I didn't send them back since they were a birthday gift, however,I will probably look for the original version somewhere else. As it turns out the 400 Piece "Value" Tub was not a value at all.
