I followed two instructions, one which was to roll the backing of the image (face up) on the side of a table to loosen the image from the paper. And the second is like someone said in another review, use dental floss. You only need to start two corners, closest to each other. Once you have both corners lifted, slowly, and I repeat, slowly peel the image from the backing. After the image has totally lifted, I recommend you find the spot you want to put it on and lay it on as close as you can to that location on the cake. Once the image is on, you do not want to move it around on wet frosting as it is fragile and could tear. But I did it on the first try and voila! Instant image on your cake. Great product. Highly recommend it...
