(More customer reviews)It seems like the bad guys always get shortchanged in major toy lines, but with the Lego Kingdoms line the sinister Dragon Knights seem to have been given the best sets. The LEGO® Kingdoms Prison Tower Rescue 7947 is much more impressive (not to mention about half as expensive) than the LEGO® Kingdoms King's Castle 7946, and the new Escape From Dragon Prison set adds to the Dragon Knights' fortifications. It's a small set, but a cool one. It's essentially a gatehouse with a small prison cell, and it's loaded with minifigures. You get two Lion Knights and two Dragon Knights, one of which comes with an armored warhorse. The Lion Knights have a little siege engine.
Complexity: There are 185 pieces in this set, so it didn't take much time to assemble. My son was happy to assemble the minifigures while I worked on the main castle, and we finished in roughly 20 minutes.
Playability: This is a fun little set. I bought it mostly for display, but my son has had fun locking up various knights and then breaking them out of jail. Besides that, any set with four knights is going to have a very high "fun quotient."
This is a terrific (and reasonably priced) addition to the Lego Kingdoms line. When added to the Prison Tower Rescue set and the LEGO® Kingdoms Prison Carriage Rescue 7949 set, the possibilities are endless.
